Humanscale's Sustainability Team To Speak at Living Product Expo 2019
Here at Humanscale, we are committed to positively impacting our world with everything we do. This includes partnering with like-minded companies and organizations, and sharing our learnings with the community at large. We are excited to be participating in three talks at the upcoming Living Product Expo, hosted by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI). The ILFI is an environment-focused nonprofit that’s pushing our industry towards sustainability. In fact, they started some of the most rigorous sustainability programs, including the Living Product Challenge and Declare labels. Did you know that Humanscale is the only manufacturer to achieve the full Living Product Challenge, and has currently published 60% of Declare labels that exist in the entire furniture industry? Key members of our Sustainability team, including CSO Jane Abernethy, will be discussing a variety of initiatives at the Expo. Here’s a breakdown of each talk:
The Road to LPC: A Manufacturer-Led Guide to Creating Net Positive Products
In this workshop, Humanscale CSO Jane Abernethy will share insights and best practices for achieving the Living Product Challenge.

Product Innovation for Green Chemistry: An Interactive Case Study
Luke Zhou and Ross Bergman, both senior members of Humanscale’s Sustainability team, will demonstrate why green chemistry requires different roles within a supply chain to rethink why and how certain products and materials are considered.
When: Wednesday, October 9 from 9-10am
Biomimicry, Biofab, and Circularity as Tools to RECKONstruct
